I admit, when we moved to Grand Rapids I avoided Terra like the plague. Everyone wanted to convince me that Terra was sent from the heavens and featured the best food in Grand Rapids. Maybe I'm a skeptic, but I refused to believe. I dreamed their menu was overpriced and underwhelming.
I was WRONG.
My first trip to Terra consisted of great conversation and a glass of wine during a Year of Work meetup (more on that later). Many of the other women ordered food and everything smelled and looked amazing. The prices on the menu, not to mention the happy hour, were affordable for what was being offered. My mouth was watering. I was ready for the full experience.
A few days later and you could find me seated in a chair across from Caleb's parents ready to devour plate after plate of cheesy, vegetable, gluten-free goodness. The cocktails...dangerous. The food, even more so.
The buffalo cauliflower and charcuterie board were "lit" as my younger sister would say. The salad, pizza and entrees that followed were just as amazing. I appreciate that Terra offers gluten-free bread and pizza crust. IMO, they're one of the most food allergy accommodating restaurants I've visited in Grand Rapids.
Guys, I wanted to live in this moment at Terra for forever.
So I did. I took home 4-5 boxes of leftovers and ate them all week. When they were gone, I returned with a friend and was surprised by many, MANY changes to their menu. Three days later I visited again with a different friend and, you guessed it, the menu changed.
Terra knows what they're doing. They've got the whole farm to table spiel on lock and their pwning all the other "players in the game."
GO there. Don't be like me. DO IT I SAY!
